She spent the summer of 2025 at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, using computational methods to help discover mutational signatures in cancer from structural variants in DNA. She is also involved in lung cancer screening advocacy, including for raising awareness and for making the current screening guidelines more inclusive. On campus, she is also an economics tutor and grader for Econ 102 - Introduction to Macroeconomics, and plays violin in the Chamber Music Society. She has advanced proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, proficiency in Spanish, and is currently a novice in Haitian Creole. Julia hopes to attend medical school upon graduation to work towards a career in Sports Medicine.
