Isabel Yu ’26

Isabel Yu
Isabel is a senior double majoring in Economics and Cinema & Media Studies.

This summer, she interned at the Aspen Institute with the International Partners program in Washington D.C., where she applied storytelling and communication strategies to strengthen a 16-country network and foster conversations on issues ranging from migration to climate change. She is continuing her internship with the program this fall. On campus, she serves as president of the Asian Student Union, sits on the Schneider Board of Governors, and volunteers as a counselor for the Chinatown Afterschool Program. In her junior spring, she studied abroad in Prague, where she co-wrote a screenplay and served as Director of Photography for a short film—all while running a marathon, discovering knedlik, and picking up a bit of Czech along the way. After graduation, Isabel hopes to bring together her interests in economics, cinema, and storytelling to contribute to spaces where analysis and creativity meet.
