In the summer of 2025, she worked as a research assistant for Professor Eni Mustafaraj in the Wellesley Cred Lab and LEED (Laboratory on Ethics and Equity in Digital tech) Lab, where she developed an LLM-powered ethical analysis tool for researchers of all backgrounds. They are continuing this work into the upcoming semester, and also look forward to assisting Dr. Erzen Oncel with research on systemic representational gaps in global political leadership. On campus, Crystal proudly co-coordinates Wellesley Asian Alliance (WAA), dances with Freestyle, and facilitates DEI workshops as a Community Inclusion Facilitator. They are native in Mandarin Chinese and English, and are working on their conversational Cantonese. Crystal hopes to bridge her academic passions by working with and through data at an international organization on women's rights, preferably somewhere in Asia.
