She spent the summer of 2025 working in rural Appalachian Virginia advocating for stronger access to health care for rural communities through policy while assisting in the organization of free health clinics. This built strongly upon her experience while studying abroad in Nepal, Jordan, and Chile during which she researched the urban-rural divide and discrepancies between access to resources in these areas. After graduating, Sidney hopes to travel to Taiwan to spend time improving her Mandarin Chinese speaking skills before pursuing a career in human rights advocacy through law or reporting.
